Eight is Great!!

My Bristen has turned eight this past Saturday and was Baptized. I can't believe I have a eight year old. Life has been so crazy for us this past year. I love starting a new year no better way than your son being baptized. It was a great day, it was very nice out of the hustle and bustle of life to take some time for family. Bristen was very nervous but, in all did so well he was ready and understood what was happening. Life has been good to us we have been very blessed these last couple of months. I had emergency surgery about two months ago and things are fine now. I'm at home with kids, still doing hair.Derric works and is in school. Very busy . Time is flying by, I feel old and can't believe I have a eight year old, and my baby is soon turning four. I'm grateful every day that I'm a mom even, though some days I feel like I loose myself. Life is good and am looking forward to see what the year brings us.

I thought I would tell a little about my girls. They are the best of friends, they are always helping each other out and I love how much they love each other. They play everything you can think of and as much as they love each other the same goes for not getting along. I'm so grateful they are so close. So close that Emmie sits by Carmendi while she is going potty. It reminds me of my sister Jill and I. Still to this day no matter how for apart we are, we are still so close. Thank God for sisters. I'm so happy to be the mother of these two girls. Carmendi turned 4 a few weeks back and Emmie turns 3 on Monday. While we are going through a unexpected move. Our landlord is going bankrupt. Very sad but, also being not so nice. I really can't say anything nice about him right now so.... our move is happening in two weeks. We found anther house but, sadly it is not in our ward. I love my ward. While it is what it is. So when things are not so crazy and we get moved in I will let you know. Take care .

So Yeah after 3 months I finally do a new blog. While I turned 30 today, and I don't feel a day past 25. I remember thinking when I was young that 30 sounded so old. I also thought that by the time I was 30 that my life would be set. YEAH RIGHT, we have such I long way to go. Instead I would like to live in the now . Derric and I have a great life, 3 kids who keep growing up so fast, it sometimes scares me. Bristen is now 7, and Carmendi soon will be 4, and not far behind her is Emmie turning 3. We will be married for 9 years this summer and he still can make my heart flutter. I'm so glad to have my family in my life, to be blessed with great parents, and great brothers, and sisters. So I guess I can say I have had a pretty good 30 years so far on this earth. The good times , the very, very hard, and sad times that have helped me in strange ways. So I hope the next 30 I can look back and feel the same way. God has truly been apart of my life. So Happy Birthday to me!!

Wait, I want to tell you the funniest thing that happened to me. So my goal was to get to church on time and, we got there at 9:10 and as a was getting out I totally slipped on some black ice and slipped underneath the car next to us.
As Derric helped me up all I could think about was my new skirt. I thought I ripped it, but it was just a little dirty so we spent 20 minutes in the family bathroom . Derric helped me clean my new skirt and then we waited for it to dry. Where are those dryers when you need them. So needless to say we didn't get to sacrament on time. Bristen thought it was a little funny .

Grandma thought it would be a fun idea to have a Princess party for all her granddaughters. So she did, it was even a sleep over. The only ones who were missing are in Texas. Betty and little Ciena. The girls had a blast from eating pizza, dressing up, playing a princess game, coloring, and even watching Sleeping Beauty. So from my girls to grandma.... Thank you!! We are so blessed to have you in our lives.

So we finally took a trip as a family to California. We spent a whole week there. Between Disneyland, the beaches, Sea world, and California Adventure we all had a blast. Carmendi probably never stop talking. She loved everything in sight. She most of all loved the rides, and Tinker Bell flying at night over the castle. Emmie was our brave one, she went on all of the big rides with Daddy. If you asked her what was your favorite ride? "she would say Daddy" She loved being around him. I don't think Derric ever stop holding her. Bristen loved everything, he loved eating, the rides and I think his favorite thing was being together as a family. That was my favorite thing as well. So in all it was a great trip one I will always remember. So here are some pictures of the trip. Enjoy!!

So I am copying Jill for Shae's special day. Shae came to our family 22 years ago tomorrow. I remember how beautiful Shae was as a baby and even more today. Shae just wanted you to know how much I love you. You mean so much to this family and, also my little family. I hope you know what a beautiful daughter of God you are. Because I know I do. I love you. Sending thoughts and prayers to you always.

I hope you and Jill remember this day. We had no sled, so Jill and I got a box and pushed you around the snow. I remember it like it was yesterday!

So the summer is over and were back to school. Life has been crazy. As always I am getting around to my blog finally once again. We went to Lake Powell for a week with my family. It was so nice to enjoy the water, relaxing, playing in the sun and getting some sun. But we loved most of all seeing daddy for a full week. Here are some pictures and a little video to make you laugh of my girls dancing. So enjoy!! In a week we will be headed to Disney land as a family. So I'm sure we will have a lot to share. Jill, Ben and baby Betty came through Colorado last week on a delay from Utah. So my mom the kids and I drove down there to see them for 2 hours. It was so worth it. Jill I'm so glad we saw you guys . We just loved seeing Betty. Bristen on the way home said "lets just keep Betty" what ever time we can get we will take. Love you all Martin family.

Okay so its been a while. Well I have done a few little blogs to catch you up but I had to tell you this sad story. A couple of weeks a ago Carmendi was running in my parents back yard and fell on the cement corner on my parents patio. She first got the biggest goose egg bump on her forehead. I wasn't there so when I got there she was out of control crying. It honestly made me sick to look at it. Of course, Derric was gone so I'm freaking out. I finally took her to the ER and they did a cat scan on her. They were worried about bleeding in the brain. So that was a great time. I'm holding her down so they could get the picture she was not holding still, so finally they said will you get on the table with her. So I did as I'm laying on her she says "I'm so scared mommy" tears were running down both of our faces. I held her hands and said just hold super still so they can take your picture and I will buy a new baby. She said "OK". So everything turned out fine she had a concussion and the more days went on she looked worse. She has two black eyes still and the bruising is now starting to fade. So that's my little scare I'm so grateful and blessed that everything turned out fine. Carmi, I love you so much. Here are some pictures of her face as its getting better. Okay so its been about a month since my last blog so here whats going on... Bristen will graduate from kindergarten next week. I cant believe he will be in first grade by the end of the summer. So his big plans will be playing Wii and going to the pool. My girls are so fun right now they have the best imagination. They play school, house, and the New one is SUPER GIRLS. They tie their blankets around them and they save animals, babies, and even mommies. There all loving the out side. We put up our little swing set this last week and they think its brand new. While it has been at my parents house since we moved out of there so to them its new to their house. The other grand kids are pretty mad about us taking it to our house, so sorry Nathan. As for Derric and I were just taking life as it comes. You know the good, the bad, and the ugly. Derric is still gone Monday-Thursday and the weekends hes with us, so the kids love it when daddy comes home. Its also nice for me to get a BREAK. I'm still doing hair and my new passion is working out. We have a membership at Lifetime fitness, and were all loving it. Just about everyone in my family has one. My sister Jenn is my workout buddy. Emery has turned 2, her B-day was Sunday the 20th. Emery came to us a huge shock. My Carmendi was just a little over 3 months old and I was very sick so when I went to the doctors you can image my shock when he said I was pregnant. I started to cry and on the way home I went and got 5 different tests. They all were positive. When I told my husband he said"we were on birth control" I know right. So for about 6 months I cried at least 3 times a day. I finally came around when I knew I could not change this. It is what it is. So after a blessing and 3 months and 2 weeks later she was here and it was love at first sight. She has always been in a hurry to do something. I think it is something inside her. I'm so blessed to be a mom of 3, even if it took me a while to get there. It has been a trail to have my girls so close, but they are finally playing together, babies, dress up, and love to bug poor Bristen. Being a mom has been the hardest and most rewarding thing I have ever done. If I could do it over I would not change a thing. Well maybe a few.

This last two weeks have not been that exciting, but here are some pictures of the kids. It's been Bristen's spring break and it was crappy weather. We even got some spring snow. So school is back in and we had nothing to show for it. Our highlights right now is daddy coming home from working every weekend. Also Jill and Betty are coming in two weeks. Hello everyone! I know it's been a while, but I'm not good at this. So here's what I have. Carmendi turned 3 a few weeks. She is so sweet, helpful, and fun to be around. She has the sweetest voice ever. Emery on the other hand is all about me. Everything is MINE, and she'll do what ever it takes to get what she wants. Bristen is my sweet boy. He is my biggest helper. I love having him in my life. He always tells me Girls are Crazy. He's off of school for 2 weeks. So hopefully we will do some fun things. I've started doing hair in my basement. I have a little salon. I'm doing hair about 3 days a week, and the rest of the days spending time with my kids. So that's all for now, until next time take care.
